Unisex Sizing

Hello, ladies and gents.

When we set up Kata we spent a huge amount of time researching sizing.

It may come as no surprise that Jimmy is the brains behind our product (perhaps, also the beauty too).

Our desire was to create clothing, not defined by gender or chasing pre-determined demographics, rather, just clothing to be worn by people. So, we decided that our first Kata Sportswear collection would be unisex.

We believe Kata Sportswear can be a catalyst for change in an unsustainable sportswear industry, so naturally we wanted to do things a little different.

By choosing to go unisex, we believe we are trailblazing a more accepting future of gender fluidity.

We are also reducing waste, a huge issue fashion brands face. Creating unisex clothing lines means we waste less on sizing that some genders don’t tend to buy.

So, how will this affect you and our ‘Essential Tee’?

For men, we suggest going one size up from your usual sizing. This is because the cut is a little shorter than regular men’s sizing.

For women, we find that the t-shirts are true to size, so your usual t-shirt sizing should be perfect.
